The author considers the deformation of smooth convex planar curves by a pointwise inward normal velocity equal in size to \(2 \pi p/L -1,\) where \(p\) denotes the support function to the curve, and \(L\) is its perimeter. This flow preserves the convexity of the curve, as well as its initial perimeter, while the enclosed area goes to the constant ratio \(L^2/4 \pi\) as \(t\) goes to infinity. The last argument leads to the main result: an evolving convex curve converges, in the Hausdorff metric, to a circle with radius \(L/2 \pi.\)
