Self-referential sentences have played a key role in \textit{A. Tarski'}s proof [Stud. Philos. 1, 261-405 (1935; Zbl 0013.28903)] of the non- definability of arithmetic truth within arithmetic and \textit{K. Gödel}'s proof [Monatsh. Math. Phys. 38, 173-198 (1931; Zbl 0002.00101)] of the incompleteness of Peano Arithmetic. In this article we consider some new methods of achieving self-reference in a uniform manner.
