The use of the non-standard analysis techniques has proved very useful in treating singular perturbation of ordinary differential equations [see the survey paper of \textit{A. K. Zvonkin} and \textit{M. A. Shubin}, Russ. Math. Surv. 39, No.2, 69-131 (1984; Zbl 0549.34055)]. The idea that non- standard analysis should provide interesting tools in optimal control is not new [see, e.g., \textit{N. J. Cutland}, J. Lond. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 27, 130-140 (1983; Zbl 0481.49007)]. In this paper, written from the author's thesis, it is shown that optimal control problems lead to interesting non-standard Hamiltonian systems.
