    For the so-called associated Jacobi-Laurent polynomials (better ``functions'') introduced by the author [see J. Comput. Appl. Math. 32, No.1/2, 125-141 (1990; Zbl 0715.33007)] the orthogonality on the unit circle in \({\mathbb{C}}\) with respect to the weight function \[ W(z)=(-2\pi i)^{-1}\frac{\Gamma (b+c+1)\Gamma (b-a+1)}{\Gamma (b+c-a+1)\Gamma (b+1)}\frac{(-z)^{-c}(1-c)^{c-a}}{F(a,b;b+c;z)}\frac{1}{F(b,1-c;b- a+1;z^{-1})} \] is proved, provided that \((0<a<c<1\), \(a<b+c\), \(b\leq 2)\) or \((a<c\), \(0<b\), -2\(\leq a\leq 1\), \(0\leq c\leq 3)\).
