A numerical solution for Fredholm integral equation of the first kind is proposed. Using a wavelet basis and a collocation method the integral equation is reduced to a system of linear algebraic equations. Convergence is proved and an estimation of an error bound is established for this method. Two numerical examples illustrate the presented results.
