The author considers the iteration scheme of the form \(x_1\in K\) and \[ \begin{gathered} x_{n+1}= P((1-\alpha_n) x_n+ \alpha_n T_1(PT_1)^{n-1} y_n),\\ y_n= P((1-\beta_n)x_n+ \beta_n T_2(PT_2)^{n-1} x_n),\end{gathered}\qquad n\geq 1,\tag{\(*\)} \] as a generalization of the iteration scheme \(x_1\in K\), \(x_{n+1}= P((1-\alpha_n)x_n+ \alpha_n T(PT)^{n-1}x_n)\). He establishes the strong convergence of the sequence generated by \((*)\) to a common fixed point of two nonself asymptotically nonexpansive mappings \(T_1,T_2\) of a nonempty closed nonexpansive retract \(K\) of a real uniformly convex Banach space \(E\). The results established are well-stated and are convincingly proved by the author. However, one observes minor oversights and typographical errors. (i) In the remark (item 2.1), it is enough to assume \(\beta_n= 0\), \(\forall n\geq 1\), to reduce the iteration scheme (2.1) to (1.6). (ii) Under the note that follows, \(R(P)\) should read ``range of \(P\)'' (not \(Q\)).
