In [\textit{C. Bär, P. Gauduchon} and \textit{A. Moroianu}, Math. Z. 249, 545--580 (2005; Zbl 1068.53030)], parallel spinors on generalized cylinders are constructed via Codazzi spinors. The paper under review studies the usage of this construction in the Lorentzian framework. More explicitly, the authors describe the structure of all complete Riemannian manifold with imaginary Codazzi spinors and invertible Codazzi tensor, casual and holonomy properties of the Lorentzian cylinder defined by the Codazzi tensor.
