A first order semi-discrete scheme of a spatio-temporally dependent reaction diffusion model is proposed with semi-implicit treatment of the nonlinear terms. The method presented by the author is first-order accurate in time and second-order accurate in the space variable. Optimal error bounds in \(L^2\) are provided. Numerical examples with different types of triangular or quadrilateral elements are presented. A similar second-order semidiscrete scheme is also discussed.
