Despite the title, this paper is an excellent survey of the Shapley value, both on the side of mathematical extensions, and on the side of applications. Some material, such as that on cost games, water allocation, and the reliability of complex systems, involve both new mathematics and useful applications. Some of the other applications, such as molecular biology, are astounding.
