Quiver varieties and Frenkel-Kac construction (Q837027): Difference between revisions

In [Duke Math. J. 91, No. 3, 515--560 (1998; Zbl 0970.17017)] \textit{H. Nakajima} proved that an affine Kac-Moody Lie algebra acts on cohomology groups of quiver varieties. He also proved in [ Ann. Math. (2) 145, No. 2, 379--388 (1997; Zbl 0915.14001)] that the Fock space representation of an Heisenberg algebra can be constructed with cohomology groups of Hilbert schemes of points on surfaces. In type \(A\), the author proves that the two constructions are related by the Frenkel-Kac construction [\textit{I. B. Frenkel} and \textit{V. G. Kac}, Invent. Math. 62, 23--66 (1980; Zbl 0493.17010)] in the spirit of the boson-fermion correspondence.
