The authors consider joint eigenfunctions of the Laplacian and one Hecke operator on compact congruence surfaces as well as joint eigenfunctions of the two partial Laplacians on \(\Gamma\backslash \mathbb{H}\times\mathbb{H}\), where \(\mathbb{H}\) is the upper half plane and \(\Gamma \subseteq SL_2(\mathbb{R})\times SL_2(\mathbb{R})\) a cocompact, irreducible lattice. They show that any weak-* limit of the microlocal lifts of these functions has positive entropy on almost every ergodic component. Then the work by \textit{E. Lindenstrauss} [Ann. Math. (2) 163, No. 1, 165--219 (2006; Zbl 1104.22015)] yields quantum unique ergodicity for these functions.
