The authors consider pseudodifferential operators \(A_r\) with symbols \([\alpha (\xi )]^r\), where \(\alpha\) is a continuous function. The problem is that of optimal reconstruction of the operator \(A_{r_0}\) from approximate values of the operators \(A_{r_1},\dots ,A_{r_n}\), \(r_j\in [0,R]\), \(j=0,1,\dots ,n\). As an application, explicit expressions are given for optimal methods of reconstructing the solution of the heat equation (for continuous and discrete models) at a given instant of time from inaccurate measurements of this solution at other time instants.
