A local system on \(\mathbf P^{1}(\mathbb C) \backslash S\), \(S\) being a finite set, is said to be physically rigid when it is uniquely determined by the local monodromies up to isomorphisms. A Fuchsian system of differential equations is said to be rigid if its monodromy representation defines a physically rigid local system. A constructive approach to the solutions of any rigid Fuchsian by using integrals is given in [\textit{M. Dettweiler} and \textit{S. Reiter}, J. Algebra 318, No. 1, 1--24 (2007; Zbl 1183.34137)]. In the paper, the authors deal with the structure of the integral representations for rigid Fuchsian systems in general and, in such a way, they generalize some results for the contiguity relations satisfied by hypergeometric functions based on the integral representations of such functions. Indeed, they prove that any irreducible rigid Fuchsian system can be obtained as a subsystem of some universal Fuchsian system that is called a generating system. Their solutions have an integral representation of Selberg type (Theorem 2.5) related to a vector of twisted cocycles and supported on a twisted cycle. The twisted cohomology groups associated with the above integral expressions of solutions of the generating system are deeply analyzed. Finally, for twisted homology groups, explicit cycles which realize local exponents of the generating system are studied. Their asymptotic behavior is given in Theorem 4.1. Notice that under some constraints in the parameters the non-singularity of the transformations follows from bounded chambers to the asymptotic chambers. To obtain a compact form of an integral representation for the solutions of each rigid Fuchsian system from one for a generating system, the calculation of linear transformations as well as the computation of residues, if necessary, have been done in some previous contributions by one of the authors, see, in particular, [\textit{Y. Haraoka} and \textit{T. Yokoyama}, Math. Nachr. 279, No. 3, 255--271 (2006; Zbl 1095.15018)].
