The author discusses some fundamentals of thermodynamics, in particular, the Gibbs paradox, a novel kind of phase transition and energetically profitable states. Some analogies between thermodynamic and economic systems are pointed out. It is remarked that controversies related to these aspects of statistical physics aroused in the past. Although the discussion of the invariance of Hamiltonians under particle permutations is missed a bit, the reviewer recommends this contribution to teachers of statistical physics/thermodynamics.
