This paper on \(p\)-adic modular forms follows the line of study of H. Hida, \textit{R. Coleman} and \textit{B. Mazur} [in: Galois representations in arithmetic algebraic geometry. Proceedings of the symposium, Durham, UK, July 9--18, 1996. Scholl, A. J. (ed.) et al., Cambridge: Cambridge University Press. Lond. Math. Soc. Lect. Note Ser. 254, 1--113 (1998; Zbl 0932.11030)]. It is an extension of the construction of eigenvarieties due to \textit{G. Chenevier} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 570, 143--217 (2004; Zbl 1093.11036)]. The author extends Chenevier's construction to the Hilbert case, that is, to unitary groups over a totally real field \(F\) that are anisotropic at each archimedean place. Even though this result is covered by a general construction of eigenvarieties due to \textit{M. Emerton} [Invent. Math. 164, No. 1, 1--84 (2006; Zbl 1090.22008)], the paper under review is of interest because of its explicit approach. In the final section, the author considers a cyclic extension \(E\) of \(F\) and poses the problem of constructing a base change morphism between the eigenvarieties for \(F\) and \(E\).
