Analysis of a new parareal algorithm based on waveform relaxation method for time-periodic problems (Q483282): Difference between revisions

For the numerical solution of time-periodic initial value problems, the authors propose a parallel algorithm based on a combination of the waveform relaxation method and a classical parareal algorithm. Moreover, they demonstrate that the speedup that can be achieved by their parallelization approach and provide an error estimate. The approach is not only suitable for ordinary differential equations per se, but it can also be successfully applied if such equations are constructed from a space discretization of partial differential equations.
