A maximal Fourier integral operator and an application (Q2254341): Difference between revisions

In this paper, the author finds a strong-type \(L^2\) inequality for a maximal Fourier integral operator on a domain possessing the cone property in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). As an application, the author also gives an alternative proof of Sogge's theorem on the boundedness of the spherical maximal operator on the \(n\)-sphere \(\mathbb{S}^n\) on \(\mathbb{R}^{n+1}\), whenever \(n \geq 3\) and \(p > n/(n-1)\).
