    The authors consider in a Banach space \(X\) the equation \[ u^{\prime}(t) = A(t)u(t) + f(t,u_t), \;t\in \mathbb R, \] where \(\{ A(t);\, t\in \mathbb{R}\}\) is a family of linear operators generating an evolution family with exponential dichotomy on \(\mathbb{R}\), and \(f\) satisfies \(\| f(t,\psi_1) - f(t,\psi_2)\| \leq \phi(t)\| \psi_1 - \psi_2\|\) for all \(t\in \mathbb{R}\) and \(\psi_1, \, \psi_2 \in C([-r,0], X)\), with \(\phi\) from an admissible function space. Existence of an unstable manifold for the above equation is proved. This manifold attracts exponentially any solution of the equation.
