In this article, the authors study the space of Kähler metrics. Lets define the necessary notions. Let \((X,J_0, \omega_0)\) be an \(n\)-dimensional compact Kähler manifold with the given complex structure \(J_0\) and Kähler form \(\omega_0\), and we define the space of Kähler metrics as \(\mathcal{C} = \{\varphi \in C^\infty(X,\mathbb{R})\, : \omega_\varphi = \omega_0 +i \partial\overline{\partial}\varphi >0\}/\sim\) where the equivalent condition is given as follows: \(\varphi \sim \varphi'\) if and only if \(\varphi -\varphi'\) is constant. Let \(G(X,\omega_0) = \mathrm{Sym}_0(X, \omega_0)\) be the identity component of symplectomorphism group of \((X,\omega_0)\). The Lie algebra \(\mathfrak{g}(X, \omega_0)\) of \(G(X,\omega_0)\) is exactly \(T_0\mathcal{C}\) endowed with Poisson bracket as the Lie bracket. Let \(\mathcal{J}_{\omega_0}\) be the space of almost complex structures on the underlying symplectic space \((X,\omega_0)\) compatible with \(\omega_0\). Define \(\mathcal{Y} \subset \mathcal{C} \times Diff(X)\) as the set of the pairs \((\varphi, f)\) such that \(f^*\omega_\varphi = \omega_0\), which is a principle bundle over \(\mathcal{C}\) with the structure group \(G\). There is a natural embedding \(\mu: \mathcal{Y} \to \mathcal{J}_{\omega_0}\) by \((\varphi, f) \mapsto f^*J_0\). To study the space \(\mathcal{C}\) of Kähler metrics, the authors consider the following two geometric objects. One is the certain complexification \(\mathcal{Y}\) of the symplectomorphism group, and the other one is a foliation on product Kähler manifold related to the geodesic on \(\mathcal{C}\). In this note, the authors study the geometry of \(\mathcal{Y}\) and show how the properties of the associated foliation (in particular, the holomorphicity) restrict the topology of base Kähler manifold.
