    By \(w(X)\), \(nw(X)\), \(d(X)\), \(l(X)\), \(wl(X)\), and \(c(X)\) the author denotes the weight, network weight, density, Lindelöf number, weak Lindelöf number, and cellularity of a given space \(X\), respectively. Let \(\beta X\) be the Stone-Čech compactification of a Tychonoff space \(X\) and \(\mathcal C\) the family of all closed subsets of \(\beta X\). A subfamily \(\mathcal F\) of \(\mathcal C\) separates points of \(X\) from \(\beta X \setminus X\) if for every pair of points \(x\in X\) and \(y \in \beta X\setminus X\), there exists \(F\in {\mathcal F}\) such that \(x \in F\) and \(y \not \in F\). Then we put \[ \mathrm{Nag}(X) = \min\{| {\mathcal F}| : {\mathcal F} \subset {\mathcal C}\;\text{and}\;{\mathcal F} \;\text{separates points of}\;X \;\text{from} \;\beta X \setminus X\} \] and call \(\mathrm{Nag}(X)\) the \textit{Nagami number} of \(X\). If \(\mathrm{Nag}(X) \leq \omega \), then the space \(X\) is called a Lindelöf \(\Sigma\)-space. The main results of this paper are the following: (1) If \(Y\) is a dense subspace of a Tychonoff space X, then \(|C(X)| \leq nw(Y )^{\mathrm{Nag}(Y)}\). (2) If a Lindelöf \(\Sigma\)-group \(G\) is a dense subgroup of a topological group \(H\), then \(w(H) = w(G) \leq \psi (G)^{\omega}.\) Similarly, if a Lindelöf \(\Sigma\)-space \(X\) generates a dense subgroup of a topological group \(H\), then \(w(H) \leq 2^{\psi(X)}.\) (3) If a regular Lindelöf \(\Sigma\)-space \(Y\) is homeomorphic to a subspace of a separable Hausdorff space, then \(w(Y ) \leq c\). The same conclusion is valid if \(Y\) is a Lindelöf \(P\)-space, i.e. all \(G_\delta\)-sets in \(Y\) are open. (4) There exists a countably compact abelian topological group \(G\) homeomorphic to a subspace of a separable Hausdorff space such that \(d(G) = 2^c\) and \(w(G) = 2^{2^{c}}\) , i.e. \(G\) has the maximal possible density and weight.
