The aim of this paper is to define a notion of stability for certain principal bundles with a local decoration and to construct moduli spaces for them. Precisely, we need the following data: a complex reductive group \(G\); an \(n\)-tuple \(\underline\sigma=(\sigma_1,\ldots,\sigma_n)\) of representations of \(G\); a smooth projective curve \(X\); an \(n\)-tuple \(\underline{x}=(x_1,\ldots,x_n)\) of distinct points of \(X\). Then a \textit{locally \(\underline\sigma\)-decorated principal bundle} \((P,\underline{s})\) consists of a principal \(G\)-bundle \(P\) on \(X\) together with a tuple of points \(\underline{s}=(s_1,\ldots,s_n)\) with \(s_i \in \mathbb{P}(P_{\sigma_i})\), the associated projective bundle over \(x_i\) for each \(i\). Such locally decorated bundles are generalisations of principal bundles with a parabolic or a level structure (hence the title of the paper). The main result is to show the existence of the moduli space of stable locally decorated principal bundles, according to a notion of stability which depends on a character of \(G\) and \(n\) positive rational numbers.
