By using the maximal \(L^p\)-regularity theory developed by Van Neerven, Veraar and Weis [\textit{J. Van Neerven} et al., Ann. Probab. 40, No. 2, 788--812 (2012; Zbl 1249.60147)] for semilinear stochastic evolution equations, this paper investigates the existence and uniqueness of local strong solutions up to life time for the Cauchy problem of quasilinear stochastic parabolic evolution equations driven by the cylindrical Brownian motion on a Banack space. The main result is applied to a convection-diffusion equation on a bounded domain in the Eulidean space with Dirichlet, Neumann or mixed boudary conditions, as well as to a generalized Navier-Stokes equation describing non-Newtonian fluids.
