\textit{A. Connes} used his tangent groupoid to give a proof of the Atiayh-Singer index theorem in [Noncommutative geometry. Transl. from the French by Sterling Berberian. San Diego, CA: Academic Press (1994; Zbl 0818.46076)]. \textit{E. Getzler} used the Getzler's rescaling of Clifford variables to give a proof of the Atiyah-Singer index theorem for the Dirac operator on a spin manifold in [Commun. Math. Phys. 92, 163--178 (1983; Zbl 0543.58026)]. In this interesting paper, the authors give a relation of these two approachs. That is, they construct a ``rescaled'' spinor bundle on the tangent groupoid, define a convolution operation on its smooth, compactly supported sections, and explain how the algebra so-obtained incorporate Getzler's symbol calculus.
