Euler-like vector fields, deformation spaces and manifolds with filtered structure (Q1753325)

The purpose of the paper is to examine, from an algebraic point of view, the notions of Euler-like vector field and deformation to the normal cone in the theory of smooth manifolds. The authors relate the two notions and they extend them from smooth manifolds to so-called filtered manifolds. As an application of this algebraic construction, the authors obtain a new approach to Connes' tangent groupoid and its generalizations to filtered manifolds.
