The aim of this paper is to introduce a general class of weighted Hardy spaces \(H_E(\beta)\) of entire functions, which are Hilbert spaces depending of a weight sequence \(\beta=(\beta_n)\) of positive numbers such that \(\beta_n^{1/n}\) tends to infinity, and to study bounded composition operators on these spaces. The class of spaces of type \(H_E(\beta)\) includes Fock and Fock-type spaces as well as several other well-known spaces. The results about bounded composition operators depend closely on the behavior of the weight sequence. Many examples are presented. Some of them show, among other things, the relationships between the necessary conditions, as well as that none of the necessary conditions are sufficient in general. Characterizations are provided for specific weights.
