This paper deals with the boundary stabilization of the damped Wentzell problem with frictional damping only on the Wentzell boundary \[ \begin{cases} u_{tt} - \Delta u=0,\qquad &t\geq 0,\,x\in\Omega,\\ u(0,x)=u_0(x),\, u_t(0,x)=u_1(x), &x\in\Omega,\\ u(t,x)=0,&t\geq 0,\,x\in\Gamma_0,\\ \rho u_{tt} +\partial_\nu u- a\Delta_Tu+\alpha u+u_t =0,&t\geq 0,\,x\in\Gamma_1, \end{cases} \] where \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^N\) is bounded with smooth boundary \(\partial\Omega\), that is divided into two closed and disjoint subsets \(\Gamma_0\) and \(\Gamma_1\), \(\rho > 0\), \(a\in\mathbb R\), \(\alpha\geq 0\) are constants, \(\Delta_T\) is the tangential Laplacian operator on \(\Gamma_1\).
