The pinning model arises for studying of several physical phenomena such as the wetting transition of interfaces, DNA denaturation and (de)localization of a polymer along a defect line. In the paper the phase transition of the pinning model is studied in presence of a correlation disorder sequence built out of a renewal sequence. The effect of correlated disorder is investigated on the localization transition undergone by a renewal sequence depending on a loop exponent.
