    Consider a sequence \(\{a_n\}\) of positive real numbers such that \(a_0=1\) and \[ 0 < \inf_{n}\frac{a_n}{a_{n+1}} \leq \inf_{n}\frac{a_n}{a_{n+1}} < \infty \] Define a positive definite kernel \(K : \mathbb B_d \times \mathbb B_d \rightarrow \mathbb C\) defined by \(K(z, w)=\sum_{n}a_n \langle{z},{w}\rangle^n.\) A commuting \(d\)-tuple \(T\) is said to be a \(K\)-contraction if \(\frac{1}{K}\) is nowhere vanishing and the sot limit \[ \sum_{\alpha}c_{|\alpha|}\frac{|\alpha|!}{\alpha!}T^\alpha T^{*\alpha} \] exists as a positive operator. The paper under review associates with each \(K\)-contraction commuting \(d\)-tuple a canonical operator-valued \(K\)-inner function and extends a uniqueness theorem of Arveson for minimal \(K\)-dilations (see Corollary~4.3). For the entire collection see [Zbl 1471.47002].
