In this work, the authors investigate invariant linearization. To begin with, a counter-example to a previous conjecture is provided. Moreover, the authors offer a sufficient criterion that uses compatible complete metrics and covers the case of proper group actions. Finally, a partial converse result that fixes and generalizes previous results in the literature is given.
