The author gives an impressive and also extensive discussion of an ``enduring error'' referring to the non-consequent use of definitions of semiregular (or uniform) convex 3-polytopes, yielding ``thirteen or fourteen'' Archimedean solids. More precisely, in a consequent way he analyses what role the non-uniform pseudorhombicuboctahedron plays in this framework of definitions. Similar further examples of (insidious) errors from geometry are mentioned, and also the ``moral of the story'' is discussed at the end of this very nice article.
