The author studies how several properties of a quasi-projective (resp. quasi-injective) module \(M\) pass from \(M\) to \(M/N\) (resp. \(N\)) when \(N\) is a fully invariant submodule or a submodule of \(M\) which is invariant under automorphisms of \(M\). Among them the author considers the Hopfian and co-Hopfian conditions and several properties of the corresponding endomorphism rings, such as being semiperfect, semilocal, or having \(1\) in their stable range.
