In this paper, a simple and unified alternative method of proof for some classical fixed point theorems emerging from Banach contraction principle is presented. To do this, a technique based on the already existing concepts of approximate fixed point sequence and graphic contraction is used. The innovative Lemma 2.12 is the key to use this technique. This shows that any graphic contraction admits an approximate fixed point sequence. This lemma establishes the Cauchyness for an arbitrary approximate fixed point sequence and not necessarily for the Picard iteration. The rest of the paper proves different theorems using the above technique. A good snapshot of the paper is given in the last section viz. ``Conclusions''.
