A 3-prismatoid in \(\mathbb{R}^3\) is the convex hull of two convex polygons \(A\) and \(B\) which lie in parallel planes \(H_A\) and \(H_B\). The prismatoid is called \textit{nested} if the orthogonal projection of \(A\) onto \(H_B\) is properly contained in \(B\), or vice versa. The author proves that every nested prismatoid is \textit{unfoldable}, which means that if the prismatoid is cut along a spanning tree of its edge graph, the resulting surface can be unfolded in the plane without overlaps.
