The authors study meromorphic solutions of the nonlinear difference equation \[ f^n(z)+P(z)\Delta^l_{\eta}f(z)=H_0(z)+H_1(z)e^{P_1(z)}+\cdots+H_m(z)e^{P_m(z)}, \] where \(n, l, m, q\) are positive integers with \(n\geq 2\), \(\eta\) is a nonzero complex number satisfying \(\Delta^l_{\eta}f(z)\not\equiv 0\), \(p_1,\ldots, p_m\) are polynomials of degree \(q\), whose leading coefficients are distinct nonzero complex numbers, and \(P, H_0, H_1,\ldots, H_m\) are nonzero meromorphic functions of order less than \(q\).
