A similar theorem to a result of \textit{J. E. Jayne} and \textit{C. A. Rogers} [J. Math. Pures Appl. (9) 61, 177--205 (1982; Zbl 0514.54026)] is established between a perfectly paracompact first-countable space and a regular space. The proof is based on the technique of \textit{M. Kačena} et al. [Real Anal. Exch. 38, No. 1, 121--132 (2013; Zbl 1272.03149)].
