    Let \(R\) be a prime ring with a center \(Z(R)\), \(I\) a nonzero ideal of \(R\), \(G\) and \(F\) two generalized derivations on \(R\) (with associated derivations \(g\) and \(d\)), and \(\alpha: R\to R\) any mapping. In the last few decades, a lot of results on the commutativity of prime or semiprime rings admitting (generalized) derivations which satisfy some algebraic conditions have been obtained. Motivated by certain already known results, the authors consider the following six situations: {\parindent=0.6cm\begin{itemize}\item[--] \(G(xy)\pm F(x)F(y)\pm xy \in Z(R)\) for all \(x,y\in I\); \item[--] \(G(xy)\pm F(x)F(y)\pm yx \in Z(R)\) for all \(x,y\in I\); \item[--] \(G(xy)\pm F(y)F(x)\pm xy \in Z(R)\) for all \(x,y\in I\); \item[--] \(G(xy)\pm F(y)F(x)\pm yx \in Z(R)\) for all \(x,y\in I\); \item[--] \(G(xy)\pm F(y)F(x)\pm [x,y] \in Z(R)\) for all \(x,y\in I\); \item[--] \(G(xy)\pm F(x)F(y)\pm [\alpha(x),y] \in Z(R)\) for all \(x,y\in I\). \end{itemize}} The authors also give an example showing that the primeness condition is necessary.
