The paper under review deals with isometric shifts on \((c\oplus X)_{\infty}\) spaces, where \(c\) is the space of all convergent sequences with the supremum norm and \(X\) is a strictly convex Banach space. Denote by \(Q\) the natural projection from \((c\oplus X)_{\infty}\) to \(X\). The author proves that if \(T\) is an isometric shift on \((c\oplus X)_{\infty}\) then the restriction of \(Q T\) to \(X\) is a surjective isometry, \(T\) maps \(c\) into \(c\) and the restriction of \(T\) to \(c\) is an isometric shift. He also shows that the space \((c\oplus l_{1})_{\infty}\) admits an isometric shift.
