Let \(u\) satisfy the nonlinear Schrödinger equation \[ i\partial_t u +\Delta u=F(u) \] with an initial condition \(u(0,x)=f(x)\). The spatial variable \(x\) lives in a manifold \(M\). When the manifold \(M\) satisfies certain interesting geometric properties, including that it is ``locally symmetric'', the main result of the paper yields the following Strichartz estimate \[ \| u\|_{L^p_t L_x^q} \lesssim \| f\|_{L_x^2}+\| F\|_{L_t^{\tilde p'}}L_x^{\tilde q'} \] where \(\tilde p',\tilde q'\) are the Hölder conjugates of \(\tilde p\), \(\tilde q\), and the pairs \((p,q)\) and \((\tilde p,\tilde q)\) belong to a certain admissible class.
