This paper is concerned with the Jacquet-Langlands transfer between automorphic representations of the multiplicative groups of quaternion algebras over a totally real field \(F\), which are split at one place. The author provides an example of a cohomological construction of the \(p\)-adic Jacquet-Langlands functoriality by using completed cohomology of Shimura curves attached to quaternion algebras. He also studies the tame levels of \(p\)-adic automorphic forms on quaternion algebras and gives an analogue of Mazur's level lowering principle.
