The geometrical notion of Finsler warped product metric was introduced in [\textit{B. Chen} et al., Int. J. Math. 29, No. 11, Article ID 1850081, 15 p. (2018; Zbl 1401.53017)]. In the present paper, the authors expose two main results related to this geometrical concept. Firstly, they prove that a Finsler warped product metric is of isotropic \(S\)-curvature if and only if it is of isotropic \(E\)-curvature. Secondly, as a consequence of the first result, they show that a Douglas warped product metric having isotropic \(S\)-curvature must be a Randers metric or a Berwald metric.
