Motivated by \textit{M. Fang} and \textit{S. Koenig} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 368, No. 7, 5037--5055 (2016; Zbl 1409.16006)] and \textit{O. Kerner} and \textit{K. Yamagata} [J. Algebra 382, 185--202 (2013; Zbl 1351.16013)], an algebra is called gendo-Frobenius if it is isomorphic to the endomorphism algebra of a faithful module over a Frobenius algebra. Such an algebra is a Morita algebra in the sense of Kerner-Yamagata. The first main result characterizes gendo-Frobenius algebras using a certain isomorphisms of bimodules. The second one gives a criterion on when a gendo-Frobenius algebra is Frobenius, using the coassiciative comultiplication.
