The author studies pro-\(\mathcal T\) completions of abstract Poincaré duality groups of dimension 4 with Euler characteristic 0, where \(\mathcal T\) is a class of finite groups that is subgroup, extension and quotient closed and the cyclic group of order \(p\) is in \(\mathcal T\) for a fixed prime \(p\). The author finds some sufficient and necessary condition for the pro-\(\mathcal T\) completion of an abstract orientable Poincaré duality group \(G\) of dimension 4 and Euler characteristic 0 to be a profinite orientable Poincaré duality group of dimension 4 at the prime \(p\) with Euler \(p\)-characteristic 0. In particular she shows that the pro-\(p\) completion \(\widehat G_p\) of \(G\) is an orientable Poincaré duality pro-\(p\) group of dimension 4 and Euler characteristic 0 if and only if \(G\) is \(p\)-good. -- A group \(G\) is \(p\)-good if the natural map between continuous and abstract cohomology \(H^i(\widehat G_p,M)\to H^i(G,M)\) is an isomorphism for every \(p\)-primary finite discrete \(\widehat G_p\)-module \(M\). This paper can be considered as a natural continuation of an earlier paper where profinite and pro-\(p\) completions of an abstract orientable Poincaré duality group \(G\) of dimension 3 were studied [\textit{D. H. Kochloukova} and \textit{P. A. Zalesskii}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 360, No. 4, 1927-1949 (2008; Zbl 1143.20016)].
