Remarks on some Lotka-Volterra type cross-diffusion models (Q864205)

The paper represents a brief survey of results regarding the Lotka-Volterra type cross-diffusion models in the scope of the equation \(\frac{\partial \mathbf{u}}{\partial t} - \nabla \cdot (k(\mathbf{u}) \nabla \mathbf{u})=f(\mathbf{u},\nabla \mathbf{u}),\) where \(\mathbf{u}=(u_1,\dots,u_n),\) \, \(k(\mathbf{u}) =\) \((k_1(\mathbf{u}),...,\)\(k_n(\mathbf{u})),\) and \(f\) is a given vector-function. The results on steady state solutions, their stability, and existence of traveling waves are discussed.
