One-dimensional, locally finite interacting particle systems with two conservation laws are considered. The models possess a family of stationary measures with product structure. It is known that under Eulerian scaling the hydrodynamical limit for the macroscopic density profiles leads to a two-component system of conservation laws. Here the propagation of small perturbations is investigated around a hyperbolic equilibrium point. It is proved that the perturbations essentially evolve according to two decoupled Burgers equations. The proof relies on Yau's relative entropy method and an Onsager-type symmetry relation.
