The author first establishes a geometric Schur-Weyl duality in a general setting, then recalls this duality in type \(A\) in the finite and affine case. The duality in the affine case is extended to positive parts of the affine algebras. As an application, certain duality for the quotients of the positive parts are derived and a geometric construction of the canonical bases of certain cyclotomic Hecke algebras is also obtained.
