The paper deals with two classes of classical free-streamlines problems: jet free-streamlines issuing from a nozzle with straight walls, and the butterfly valve. In an auxiliary plane (corresponding to the logarithm of complex velocity) the flow domain is a polygonal one. This gives a possibility for the use of Schwarz-Christoffel integrals for obtaining the flow in physical plane. To this end the author solves some related differential equations, and obtains analytical solutions by using expansions in Taylor, Laurent and Frobenius series by the convolution algebra method. A particular aspect of this approach is the covering of the flow domain (which is a semidisk in an auxiliary plane) with convergence disks. Here the author uses scaled variables to obtain well-conditioned coefficients. The analytic results are presented by series in each case, and free-streamline flows are computed with the accuracy of analytic solutions.
