The author studies cellular neural networks, which contain both variable and unbounded delays. The objective is to study the existence, uniqueness and absolute stability of the equilibrium point of cellular neural networks with globally Lipschitz continuous activation functions. Applying M-matrix theory and the idea of vector Lyapunov method, sufficient conditions for absolute stability are obtained by constructing proper Lyapunov functionals and nonlinear integrodifferential inequalities.
