    Let \(\Omega\) be a homogeneous function of degree zero, satisfying \(\Omega\in L^1(S^{n-1})\), and \(\int_{S^{n-1}}\Omega(x)\,d\sigma(x)=0\). For a measurable function \(h(t)\) on \((0,\infty)\), and for a strictly monotonic nonnegative function \(\Phi\) on \((0,\infty)\), define the parametric Marcinkiewicz integral operator \[ \mu_{\Omega,\Phi,h}^{\rho}\text{ by }\mu_{\Omega,\Phi,h}^{\rho}f(x)=\bigl[\int_0^\infty| F_{\Omega,\Phi,h}^\rho f(t,x)| ^2t^{-1}dt\bigr]^{1/2}, \] where \[ F_{\Omega,\Phi,h}^\rho f(t,x) =t^{-\rho}\int_{| u| \leq t}\frac{\Omega(u)}{| u| ^{n-\rho}} f(x-\Phi(| u| )u/| u| )h(| u| )\,du, \] and \(\rho\in\mathbb C\) with \(\text{Re}\rho>0\). The author claims: Suppose \(\sup_{R>0}R^{-1}\int_{0}^{R}| h(t)| ^\gamma dt<\infty\) for some \(\gamma>1\), and \(\Omega\in B_q^{(0,-1/2)}(S^{n-1})\): block space in the sense of Lu-Taibleson-Weiss for some \(q>1\). Then if \(\Phi(t)\) is strictly increasing, \(\eta \Phi(t)\leq \Phi(2t)\leq c\Phi(t)\) for some \(c\geq\eta>1\) (or \(\Phi\) is strictly decreasing, \(\eta \Phi(2t)\leq \Phi(t)\leq c\Phi(2t)\) for some \(c\geq\eta>1\)), \(| \Phi'(t)| \geq \alpha\Phi(t)/t\) for some \(0<\alpha\leq \log_2 c\), and \(\Phi'(t)\) is montonic on \((0,\infty)\), it follows that \(\mu_{\Omega,\Phi,h}^{\rho}\) is bounded on \(L^p(\mathbb R^n)\) for \(| 1/p-1/2| <\min(1/\gamma', 1/2)\). The author also states that if \(\gamma>2\) in the above, weighted boundedness holds for \(1<p<\infty\) and for some weights relating to the usual Muckenhoupt weights.
