Algebraic and computational formulas for the index of real analytic vector fields (Q2430799)

The authors provide a formula for the computation of the index of a real analytic vector field which has a reduced hypersurface of complex zeros. In addition, an implementation of the formulas (both for the index in the algebraically and non-algebraically isolated cases) is described.
