Here we give the biregular classification of pairs \((S,L)\) with \(S\) a smooth projective surface over a positive characteristic base field, \(L\) a very ample line bundle on \(S\) and the sectional genus of \(L\) is \(\leq 5\). The proofs use a characteristic \(p\) extension of the techniques related to the adjunction mapping.
